Principles

The rules we are designing against.

These are commitments about how the proposed system should behave — and an explicit list of what it is not being built to do.

Principles

Built around facts, fairness and accountability.

Events, not opinions Visibility, not secret records Resolution, not permanent punishment
01

Structured events instead of emotional reviews

No open-ended ratings such as “terrible tenant” or “difficult landlord.”

02

Positive history matters

On-time payments, completed leases, passed inspections and successful resolution should count.

03

Renters see what is reported

A transparent record is more trustworthy than a secret file.

04

Problems can be corrected and resolved

One event should not erase years of responsible behavior.

05

The reporter is accountable

Identity, management authority, property relationship and reporting behavior must be verified.

06

Humans remain responsible for decisions

No unexplained AI-generated “good tenant” or “bad tenant” label.

Boundaries

Not a blacklist. Not an anonymous review site.

VeriTenancy is not being designed for:

  • Public tenant searches
  • Anonymous accusations
  • Unrestricted landlord reviews
  • Covert surveillance
  • Facial recognition
  • Social-media or private-life scraping
  • Automatic tenant denial or eviction decisions
  • A permanent secret score
  • Charging renters to correct inaccurate information

If a safeguard you would require is missing from that list, we want to hear it — it is one of the questions in the research survey.

What we can honestly claim

No testimonials. No user counts. Not yet.

VeriTenancy has no customers, so inventing proof would be the first broken promise. Here is what is true today.

Designed around structured events — not open-ended reviews.
Renters are intended to see and challenge reported information.
Positive and resolved history is part of the proposed record.
Legal, privacy, security and Fair Housing review are product requirements.

Rental history can be more useful — and more fair.

Join property managers, landlords, renters and investors helping shape a transparent rental-history platform before it is built.
