Accessibility statement

Last updated September 17, 2026. A platform about fair treatment has no business being unusable for some of the people it claims to serve.

The standard we build against

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the design target for this site and for the product being developed. We treat it as a requirement, not an aspiration — but we have not commissioned an independent audit yet, so we are not claiming conformance.

What is implemented today

  • Every form field has a visible label that stays visible while you type.
  • Validation errors appear beside the field they belong to, in words rather than colour alone.
  • Anything you have already entered is preserved when a submission is rejected.
  • Text meets the AA contrast minimum in both the light and dark themes.
  • Interactive controls meet the 44px minimum target size, apart from links inline in a sentence.
  • The whole site is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every control.
  • The multi-step form moves focus to each new step, and announces its position.
  • Motion is reduced automatically when your system asks for it.
  • The site is built mobile-first and tested from 390px upward.
  • Consent checkboxes are never pre-checked.

Known gaps

No independent audit has been carried out. The interactive concept preview has been checked with a keyboard but not with every assistive technology. We would rather list these honestly than claim a conformance level we have not verified.
